Sustainable Parking Options

OSU has 20 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations on campus reserved for electric vehicles* only at all times. Parking permits are required 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, year-round.

*Electric vehicles are defined in the University Standard as: plug-in electric motorized vehicles, limited to automobiles, trucks, and motorcycles.

Requirements for EV Parking

The following requirements must be met for an electric vehicle to park in one of the 20 EV parking spaces available on the OSU Corvallis campus:

  1. Electric vehicles only at all times - Plug-in electric (or plug-in hybrid) vehicles are the only permitted vehicles for these spaces, 24/7, year-round.
  2. Permits are required - Permits are required 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday, year-round. Permits can be purchased online, in the Transportation Services' office or at any pay station.
What type of permit?

Commuters with electric vehicles may use a commuter parking permit laterally across zones to access EV spaces, and may also choose to use the park-down feature of the zonal system to access EV spaces in a lower tiered zone. For example, a commuter with an A2 permit and an electric vehicle may use the EV spaces in an A1 Zone, or any of the charging stations in the B or C Zones. On the following table, an “X” indicates the type of permit that is valid for each EV Charging Station.

Campus Residents with a Resident R permit may access charging stations in Reser and the Parking Garage. Vehicles will need to be relocated to the R zone when not actively charging.
