- About Parking
Space-out-of-service fees are charged whenever parking spaces are removed from the parking inventory that are normally available. The fee is the same as the daily parking rate for each zone, but may be prorated to monthly rates based on the duration of the space closure. All closures of one year or more are subject to a fee equal to the reserved space fee*. Fees are only charged for days when permit requirements are in effect, and the fees are not required for weekends or holidays.
*All closures of one year or more in any zone are subject to a fee equal to the annual reserved space fee, currently at $1,133.
Construction projects which require the closure of parking spaces for any reason (including lay-down yards) must coordinate the closure with the Transportation Services Field Supervisor, Hank Kemper.
Special events and small projects that displace parking spaces are also subject to space-out-of-service fees. For special events, contact Tanya Andersson, and for smaller projects or closure needs contact Lori Siewell.
