  • Fewer payroll deductions - eligible employees may pay for Term permits through a one-time payroll deduction through September 30, 2020.

General Sales begin - September 16, 2020

  • R residence hall zone permits will be available for campus residents to purchase.
  • Former campus residents and new customers can purchase A, B or C zone permits.

Frequently Asked Questions

Due to the uncertainty of COVID-19, parking requirements are subject to change. For up-to-date information, view our COVID-19 Response page

Permit Sales

If you are concerned that permits might sell out, we advise that you renew your permit during the renewal period. Once you purchase a permit, you will be unable to make any changes to the permit online - all changes must be processed by contacting our office after September 16.

On September 16, call or email our office to exchange the permit for a different zone, pending availability.

Commuter Zones (A, B or C): It varies from year to year, but historically, B2 annual permits have shown the most availability.

Resident Zones (R): It varies from year to year how quickly they sell out, which is why we advise all on campus residents to secure a permit before bringing a vehicle to campus.

Because permit sales have varied from year to year, it's tough to know the odds that a zone may or may not sell out. If you are concerned about the zone you want selling out, we recommend purchasing sooner rather than later.

Waitlists are available for sold-out zones. If the zone you want is unavailable, consider purchasing another zone or explore other transportation options.

If you are unable to get the permit you want at that time, you may add yourself to a waitlist for the zone. You may consider purchasing a permit in another zone, riding the Beaver Bus or exploring other transportation options.

Accounts with an outstanding balance will be unable to purchase a permit until the balance has been paid in full. You will need to pay the outstanding balance before selecting a permit.

Contact Transportation Services if you have questions about the balance.

Your virtual permit is valid as soon as it is purchased. Please keep your license plate information up to date at all times.

You won't! Parking permits on the Corvallis campus are virtual!

Your license plate is your permit instead of plastic hang tags, paper permits or removable decals. Multiple vehicles can be attached to a permit, as long as only one vehicle is parked on campus at a time. Learn more about virtual permits

Term Permits

Annual permits are not available for personal vehicles. Oregon State's COVID-19 response necessitates a shorter permit duration and provides flexibility in case situations change. Additionally, shortening the duration of parking permits supports the Sustainable Transportation Strategy and allows you to choose different transportation options throughout the year.

No - due to the uncertainty of COVID-19, customers will not be able to purchase permits for the entire year at the same time.

Sales of Term permits for the following term will begin in Week Ten (Dead Week) of the current term. Information will be available on our website.

Purchasing Permits during COVID-19

No refunds will be issued at any time due to the COVID-19 response. If you are uncertain about purchasing a Term permit, consider purchasing a Monthly permit as a more flexible option.

Permits will be sold by Term, so if you do not need a permit for the Fall term, you can consider purchasing a Winter Term permit or Spring Term permit closer to the start of each term. However, permits are sold on a first-come, first-served based, dependent on availability, and there is no guarantee that the zone of your choice will be available.
