Permit Sales FAQ

If you are concerned that permits might sell out, we advise that you renew your permit on Thursday, August 1. Once you purchase a permit online, you will be unable to make any changes to the permit online - all changes must be processed in our office.

On August 15, you can come into our office to exchange the permit for a different zone, but there is no guarantee that it will be available. If the zone you want sells out before you are able to exchange your permit, you can try to exchange the permit again in our office or add yourself to a waitlist on September 4.

Commuter Zones (A, B or C): It varies from year to year, but historically, B2 annual permits have shown the most availability.

Resident Zones (R): It varies from year to year how quickly they sell out, which is why we advise all on campus residents to secure a permit before bringing a vehicle to campus.

Because permit sales have varied from year to year, we do not comment on the odds that a zone may or may not sell out. If you are concerned about the zone you want selling out, we recommend purchasing sooner rather than later. Permit sales start at 8 a.m.

We reserved a limited number of permits for each sales date. If the zone you want has sold out, you can try and purchase on August 15 and again on September 4. If you are unable to get the permit you want at that time, you may add yourself to a waitlist for the zone.

Carpool permits may be available in your desired zone. Register for Get There to find other Beavers to share your commute. Get There Oregon is a state-sponsored program designed to connect people with all modes of transportation. Meet a carpool buddy, find a bike share or learn about bus routes.

Accounts with an outstanding balance will be unable to purchase a permit until the balance has been paid in full. You will need to pay the outstanding balance before selecting a permit.

Contact Transportation Services if you have questions about the balance.

Depending on how often you will be on campus, it may be more economical to purchase an annual permit than daily or monthly permits.

Annual permits can be returned to our office at the end of a term for a partial refund. The last day for refunds is May 15, 2020.

Permit fulfillment begins September 4. You can begin displaying your permit as soon as your receive the permit and ensure it displayed correctly in your vehicle.

Annual permits are removable decals that can be placed on the driver's side front window or the driver's side rear window. Free hang tags are available in Adam's Hall.
