Planning Events on Campus

Inviting a guest speaker? Hosting an event? We know navigating a new campus can be challenging. Let us help you provide easy access with parking permits, maps or other and transportation resources to make your event a breeze - for both you and your guests.

Event Set-up

Many events on the OSU Corvallis campus have an impact on the roads and parking lots. Transportation Services is one of several departments that approves requests for road closures and space-out-of-service for events on campus via the Campus Grounds Use Request (CGUR) form. Contact our office if you need help determining the campus impact or the most cost-effective solutions for your event prior to submitting a CGUR form.

Request a Space-out-of-Service

Reserving parking spaces or lots for your event may be subject to space-out-of-service fees. A parking representative will be able to help you find the most cost effective rate for your event. Once approved, Transportation Services staff will post the signs as needed.

Road Closures

OSU roads are for the steady flow of all traffic modes It is rare for OSU to close a road for an event. Please consider other campus open spaces prior to requesting a road closure.

If approved, Transportation Services will coordinate with the City of Corvallis to detour CTS and Beaver Bus routes, if necessary. Facility Services and Department of Public Safety will facilitate the physical closure on the day of your event.
