Relocating to Western Building

Parking Permits on the OSU Campus

Permits are required on the OSU Corvallis campus, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. per the University FIS policy.

FAQs

At the beginning of Fall Term 2019, any commuter zone permit (A1-3, B1-3, or C) will be valid in the Western Building parking lot.

Transportation Servies will make a zone determination once lot capacity and building occupancy is finalized.

Parking permits can be exchanged for another zone, depending on permit availability. If the zone of your choice is not available at the time you relocate to the Western Building, you can add yourself to a waitlist

Prorated refunds are available until mid-spring.

We are exploring options to expand the Beaver Bus to serve the Western Building in Fall 2020.

Parking may be limited at the Western Building, and employees may need to park in other locations.

There are several options to get to the Western Building:

Carpooling

If you know someone who works elsewhere on campus, consider a carpool to drop you off at your location each day. Find an OSU carpool buddy on Get There Oregon. The price of carpool permits is split evenly between the number of carpool members.

By Bicycle

Corvallis is a bike-friendly community with easy bike routes across campus. Consider riding your bike to campus, or parking your vehicle and riding your bike from there. There are several Bike Lockers available for rent near the Reser Stadium parking lot. There are showers available for employee use at the Western Building after your ride.

Do you have a meeting at the Western Building? Use a Bikeshare!

Pedal Corvallis is a city-wide bikeshare program with 10 stations in Corvallis, four (4) of which are on campus. With an easy-to-use app, you can check out and return a bike at any station in the system. Purchase a monthly or annual pass, or pay as you go.

Walking

The Western Building  is 0.5 miles from Reser Stadium parking lot, which is roughly a 10-15 minute walk. Challenge yourself to get your daily steps!

Department 3-hour Permits

A department can purchase up to three (3) Department 3-hour permits per year to allow employees to park in a different zone for up to three hours.

Faculty or staff may display this permit on their personal vehicle, in conjunction with valid annual, monthly, or daily zone permit, to access another zone or Service spaces on campus for University business if a University vehicle is not available. Permits are to be shared among employees within a department and limited to three (3) per department.
