Now that you're here, there are lots of options to get where you need to go!

Parking Permits

Campus Resident Parking

Students living on campus are only eligible for Residential R parking permits.

  • R Zone permits allow parking in any lot within the R zone.
  • Residential parking permits have sold out in the past, so we advise that you do not bring a car unless you have already purchased a permit. 

Non-resident parking permits are required in A (1-3), B (1-3), or C Commuter Zones, or any ADA space,

  • Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., year-round.
  • Permits are required in all other parking locations at all times, year-round.

Off-campus residents are eligible for commuter A, B, or C permits. Learn more about what parking permit options are available for students living off campus.

Visiting OSU

Visiting someone who lives on campus? Here are helpful tips to make your visit a pleasant experience:

Ride the Beaver Bus!

Get around campus easily on the free campus shuttle, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Track your bus with the Beaver Bus Tracker or in the TransLoc app.

Move-in Day 

Special permission is granted to allow temporary loading/unloading in fire lanes during your scheduled move in day. Parking in fire lanes or yellow curbs is not permitted the rest of the year, so please obey all posted signs and painted curbs during your future visits!

Parking Permits 

When visiting campus you will need a parking permit valid in the A, B, or C Zones, or any ADA space, Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., year-round. Permits are required in all other parking locations at all times, year-round.

Visitors can purchase daily parking permits online or hourly parking permits from one of the many pay stations on campus

Bicycle Friendly University

Bike and Scooter Share

Operated by Veo.  Rent electric scooters and pedal bikes by the minute for trips across campus or to nearby businesses.

ZAP Oregon State

Ride your bike, win prizes. ZAP is a free program with monthly prize drawings and annual team challenges.

Bike Security

Learn about bicycle locks and safety tips. Concerned about theft? Register your bike.

Travel for breaks

NEW! 99 Vine

A 6-month pilot bus service between Eugene and McMinnville with stops at the OSU Corvallis campus and the Eugene Airport. The service makes four daily runs Monday through Friday. Free through June 30th, 2026.

FlixBus 

Private bus service from Eugene to Seattle with a stop at OSU and Portland. 

Amtrak Cascades

Amtrak provides train and bus service from Albany to Eugene, Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver, BC.

Airport Shuttle 

Groome Transportation provides shuttles from the OSU campus to Portland airport, 7 days a week. 

Errands and Day Trips 

Zipcars

  • Affordable alternative to bringing a personal car to campus.
  • This carshare program is available to drivers 18 and over.
  • Cars are conveniently parked near residence halls, and can be reserved by the hour or by the day.

  • Corvallis has ride sharing like Uber and Lyft and local taxi companies, and food delivery services are also an option. 
  • Get There is Oregon’s free ride-matching tool, and can help you find a carpool or one-time rides on their ride board.

Buses with Stops on Campus 

Corvallis 

Corvallis Transit System buses are fareless! Plan your route with Google Maps and track your bus with the Corvallis Bus app.

Albany

Also fareless, the Linn Benton Loop serves OSU Corvallis Campus and the Linn Benton Community College Albany Campus with other stops in Albany.

Newport

The Coast to Valley Express serves campus and OSU's Hatfield Marine Science center.

Getting to LBCC

Beaver Bus

The free Beaver Bus LBCC Corvallis Route serves the OSU Corvallis Campus and Linn Benton Community College Corvallis Campus during Fall, Winter and Spring terms.

Linn Benton Loop

The fareless, Linn Benton Loop connects OSU Corvallis with the LBCC campus in Albany.
