Register for free and start tracking your bike trips to OSU automatically by riding past one of the ZAP stations located at many entrances to campus. Challenge yourself, win prizes, and compete with your friends and coworkers!

Register - How to sign up

First, bring your bike to one of the designated tagging locations, and ask the staff to install your free ZAP tag to the front wheel of your bike.

Tagging Locations

You will need to register your tag # online at zap.oregonstate.edu and create a user profile. Now you’re ready to start collecting ZAPs!

Ride - How to get Zapped

Find a ZAP station on your route - here is a map of all the ZAP stations on campus. You can ride by them as many times as you want (and you might want to - they emit a satisfying beep every time you ride by!) but you can only get credit for one ZAP per day.

Rewards - win prizes!

Welcome Gift: New to ZAP? You will automatically earn a prize just for trying it out.

Monthly drawings: Log on to zap.oregonstate.edu throughout the year to track your progress! Collect 10 ZAPs in a month, and you will be automatically entered into the monthly drawing for gift cards to nearby businesses or useful bike gear.

Special Events: Join a team and compete against other departments in biennial team challenges! Your team could win bragging rights and cool bike swag.  Keep your ears open for special occasion prizes, offerings from sponsoring businesses, and more.
