Permits are required Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. in A, B and C zones on campus, unless marked.

Resident permits are required at all times, year-round.

Permits are not valid at meters. Meter hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Purchasing a parking permit does not guarantee a parking space in a specific location.

Who may purchase, permit duration, parking permissions, funds available for purchase, permit prices, and purchase options are subject to change based on the University's COVID-19 response. For up-to-date information about current parking regulations, view our COVID-19 Response and Resources page

Private Parking Space Permits

A Private Parking Space is for the use of an individual holding a specific university position. The university limits the number of Private Parking Spaces to manage the campus parking supply. Use of Private Parking Spaces results in costs to the university by reducing the inventory of spaces available for sharing with others, reducing a departments available spending on other resources, and impacting the university’s ability to reach its sustainable transportation and carbon reduction goals.

Positions Authorized for Private Parking Spaces:

The Vice President for Finance and Administration determines the limited selection of positions that are eligible for a Private Parking Space. His or her determination is based on the position’s requirement to frequently travel using their personal automobile during business hours as a condition of their employment, and for the convenience of the university to minimize costs associated with lost time and/or productivity.

Eligible positions are determined each Spring Term for the following Fall Term. Employees in authorized positions will be notified by the Vice President for Finance and Administration.

Duration of space assignment:
  • One year
Where you can park:

Private Parking spaces are used by only one person. A Transportation Services-issued permit must be displayed on a vehicle in the space, and the vehicle must also display a valid commuter permit for the zone in which the space is located.

Contact our department to request changes to existing spaces.
